Note: please only register one parent/participant, the second is free. 

Class participants will learn:

• Common newborn characteristics, traits and behaviors
• Infant crying patterns and comfort techniques
• Breastfeeding and bottle-feeding basics, how to tell if baby is getting enough, when to supplement and follow up with outpatient resources
• Hands on skills with diapering, bathing, nail care, and dressing your newborn
• Newborn health tips for caring for umbilical cord, circumcision, taking baby's temperature and well-baby visits
• Newborn safety topics including car seats, ABC's of safe sleep, safe baby gear, pet safety, childcare, and infant CPR

Class meets from 5:00-8:00 pm one night a week at the Lakeside conference room first floor main entrance.

Note: please only register one parent/participant, the second is free. Feel free to bring any food/snacks with you to class.
