Join us for the ABCs of CPR for infants 12 months and less. This basic class taught by an experienced LDRP nurse will focus on cardiac arrest and choking. Please enroll only one person from each family. Each family will have one mannequin to practice on during class. Participants may bring 1 other with them. This is not a certification class. Class lasts 45 minutes to 1 hour.

 Tours are available free of charge for current or prospective patients. Please register for the tour.

Tours are offered at 3:30 p.m. following the Saturday Understanding Birth class and during the week before other prenatal classes. You do not need to participate in a class to take the tour but you do need to register.

Tours are also given as part of the Understanding Childbirth Class. You do not need to register for a tour separately if you are taking this class at Integris Edmond and delivering at Integris Edmond. 

Tours meet on the 4th floor Women's Center in the waiting room and start promptly. 

Tours typically last 30-45 minutes and may occasionally be canceled if the unit is full.

Please register only one person in your party. Do not register for this tour if you are taking an Understanding Childbirth Class.

Class participants will learn common newborn characteristics, newborn proceedures during the hospital stay, benefits of rooming-in, newborn senses, the ABCs of safe sleep as well as get hands-on practice on swaddling, burping, diaper changing and bathing their infant. Physical changes mom will experience after giving birth, new parent emotions, lifestyle changes, and challenges will also be included in this fun and informative class. Class meets from 6-9pm on one week night. 

Note: please only register one parent/participant, the second is free. 

Ice and water will be available, feel free to bring any food or snacks with you to class. 

Comfort Measures class is perfect for couples who have given birth before and want a refresher or couples who have already attended Understanding Birth class and want a deeper understanding with more practice of natural coping methods. This class is created around Penny Simkin's Comfort Measures DVD and book The Birth Partner. It will be interactive for both mom and support people. This class does not include information about medical intervention or the process of labor itself, that is covered in the Understand Birth class.  This class focuses on natural coping methods.

Topics include: breathing, relaxation, visualization, guided imagery, massage, counter pressure, positions for labor and pushing.

It is most effective if support people attend with mom. 1-2 per mom is welcome.

This class meets one time for 2 hours. Moms may bring primary support person and any other support person she desires.

All insurance companies have some type of breast pump coverage, but are pumps all the same? Learn about the different categories of pumps, why a mom might need to pump, how to initiate a milk supply using a pump, and what exclusively pumping means. Hear from moms who have exclusively pumped by choice or necssity as well as tips on how to keep a milk supply when you return to work. This class is most helpful when the Breastfeeding Basics Class has already been taken or if mom has breastfed before.

Expecting moms are invited to come before the weekly scheduled Milk Bar and meet the Integris Edmond Lactation Team and observe the in's and out's of the Milk Bar. Moms may stay as long or a short as they would like. When an expectant mom participates in Milk Bar Connect she recieves the Breastfeeding Basic class at Integris Edmond for free. When she comes to Milk Bar Connect, she will recieve the code to use when she registers online for the breastfeeding class. The Milk Bar meets on the 4th floor at Integris Edmond, when you step off the elevator we will be immediatly to your right in the 4th floor waiting room. Moms and other women who support moms only please.
