Super Sibling Class

Ages: 3 - 10

During this class, parents will stay in calss with their children. Parents, please register each sibling individually. Parents do NOT need to register themselves. Super Sibling class is perfect for families adding a new addition to their family. We help big sister/brother get comfortable with the idea of a new baby. They will get to learn how to help mom and dad with some basic baby skills. There will even be a tour of the postpartum floor to help them feel more comfortable when they come to visit Mom in the hospital! This class is designed for children ages 3 through 10. This class will take place in the conference room at the  Women's Center located on the 4th floor of hospital.

Understanding Your Newborn

Note: please only register one parent/participant, the second is free. 

Class participants will learn:

  • Common newborn characteristics, traits and behaviors
  • Infant crying patterns and comfort techniques
  • Breastfeeding and bottle-feeding basics, how to tell if baby is getting enough, when to supplement and follow up with outpatient resources
  • Hands on skills with diapering, bathing, nail care, and dressing your newborn
  • Newborn health tips for caring for umbilical cord, circumcision, taking baby's temperature and well-baby visits
  • Newborn safety topics including car seats, ABC's of safe sleep, safe baby gear, pet safety, childcare, and infant CPR

Class meets from 5:00-8:00 pm one night a week at the Lakeside conference room first floor main entrance.

Note: please only register one parent/participant, the second is free. Feel free to bring any food/snacks with you to class. 

Labor & Delivery Tour (Lakeside)

Complimentary tours are available for current patients or those considering our facility for delivery.

Please register in advance for the tour. 

Note: Only register one person. You may bring 1 support person.

Daytime tours are available on Mondays at noon, with the exception of holidays.

Please meet in the Lakeside front entrance waiting area for tours to begin. Tours typically last 30 to 45 minutes and may occasionally be canceled if the facility is full.

Labor & Delivery Tour (Edmond)

Tours are available free of charge for current or prospective patients. Please register for the tour.

Tours are offered at 3:30 p.m. following the Saturday Understanding Birth class and during the week before other prenatal classes. You do not need to participate in a class to take the tour but you do need to register.

Tours are also given as part of the Understanding Childbirth Class. You do not need to register for a tour separately if you are taking this class at Integris Edmond and delivering at Integris Edmond. 

Tours meet on the 4th floor Women's Center in the waiting room and start promptly. 

Tours typically last 30-45 minutes and may occasionally be canceled if the unit is full.

Please register only one person in your party. Do not register for this tour if you are taking an Understanding Childbirth Class.

Full Course

Baby Basics (Baptist)

This class will take place on one evening from 6:00pm to 9:00pm

Class participants will learn about common newborn traits and behaviors, as well as newborn health and safety, including Lifesaver, safe sleep and Newborn procedures.  There will be discussion on ways to comfort your newborn with hands-on practice with swaddling, burping and diaper changing. Grandparents are encouraged to sign up as well.

Please feel free to bring a drink & snack or stop by the cafeteria prior to class or during a break.

Understanding Birth (Canadian Valley)

Calendar Mar 12, 2026 at 6 pm, runs for 8 weeks

The "Understanding Birth" class will meet from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in Conference Room A and B at INTEGRIS Health Canadian Valley Hospital. 

This course includes eight weeks of classes plus one bonus physical therapy class and a mock delivery in a LDRP room. 

NOTE: Only register one person. You may bring 1 support person.

Understanding Birth is a class covering the following information:

• A healthy pregnancy (Support, Nourishment)

• Women’s Center tour

• Team birth

• Breastfeeding

• Postpartum care

• Relaxation

• Labor positions

• Pain management

Successful Breastfeeding (Lakeside)

Expectant moms in their 30th week of pregnancy or later are invited to register. Please only register mom. One support person is welcome to attend.

Class topics include:

  • Benefits of breastfeeding, how breastfeeding works, breastmilk and milk supply
  • Skills for breastfeeding: reading your baby’s hunger cues, positions for breastfeeding, the importance of latch and knowing your baby is getting enough
  • What to expect: common concerns and healthy lifestyle
  • Working and breastfeeding: information on breast pumps and supplies
